Learn the basics of directing a show, fine tune your skills, and showcase your directing skills with opportunities to work with actors to stage your own scene!

The Essentials of Being a Director

This class will help you prepare for all the essentials of directing. Each class will teach you how to prepare as a director. You will learn how to:

*Prepare a Vision
*Prepare a Production Staff
*Auditions
*Blocking

The students will be given scenes to direct. Students will choose actors of their own choosing and the scenes will be performed for an audience on the night of the Director’s Showcase

Class Details:

• Format: 10 classes, meeting twice a week (Thursday & Friday evenings)
• Dates: June 25 – July 31
• Schedule: June 25, 26 | July 2, 3 | July 9, 10 | July 23, 24 | July 30, 31
• Showcase: You will get a scene to direct and work with actors for an upcoming showcase.
