Master Arts welcomes everyone interested in auditioning for our eight annual productions. We also offer exciting opportunities to participate in various other events and traveling troupes.

DR. MATTHEW WEST: Henry Maxwell’s physician and friend.
MILTON WRIGHT: A merchant. He owns “the largest store in town.”
EDWARD NORMAN: The editor and publisher of The Raymond Daily News
JASPER CHASE: Assistant editor and reporter for The Raymond Daily News.
VIRGINIA PAGE: A wealthy young woman.
ROLLIN PAGE: A profligate and wealthy young man; Virginia’s brother.
MADAM PAGE: Grandmother to Virginia and Rollin.
LUCIEN STERLING: Businessman; industrialist; pillar of the Raymond, Kan., community; father to Felicia and Rose.
ALEXANDER POWERS: Superintendent of the railroad machine shops.
RACHEL WINSLOW: A young woman who sings with “the voice of an angel.”
DR. CALVIN BRUCE: Pastor of the Nazareth Avenue Church in Chicago.

Everyone will receive a role. Auditions are to determine who gets what part.
Tuesday evenings 5 to 7 pm, beginning: Tuesday, April 1
Camp week is June 16 – 20. Daily from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm
Dress Rehearsals on Tues &-Wed, June 24, & 25. Times: 5 pm

Everyone will receive a role. Auditions are to determine who gets what part.
Monday evenings 5 to 7 pm, beginning May 5
Camp week is July 7 – 11. Each day from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm
Dress Rehearsals on Tues & -Wed, July 15 & 16. Times: TBD
Performance dates on July 17 – 19.

–Master Arts Theatre’s Audition Policy
Unless otherwise noted, Master Arts’ auditions will be cold reading.
Sign-ups for auditions are not mandatory but preferred.
Sides will not be available before the audition date. If you would like to peruse a script, you may come by the office and check one out for a $5.00 deposit.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior, so the director can start auditions on time.
If you have trouble reading, please let the director know. We will work on a solution.
After auditions, everyone will be contacted, whether you receive a role or not.
If you get a call informing you that you were not chosen and you still want to be involved (working backstage) let the caller know immediately.
If you would to request any special accommodations, please contact the office prior to auditions.
Rehearsal Schedule
Rehearsal schedules will vary from show to show.
Most rehearsals begin the week of or the week after auditions.
Regular rehearsal will be Monday through Thursday from 6:30 to 9:30 pm.
Main roles will meet four times a week, minor roles may only meet once or twice weekly.
Crazy Saturday will be the Saturday before opening night. Crazy Saturday is a 6 to 8-hour event.
Please enter all dates on your audition sheet that you have previous engagements. Because we are a community theater, the schedule can sometimes be worked around.
