Mike says it is safe to sit in, and Mike never lies to me.
Lew says it ain’t safe. Should I try it or not. What if Lew’s right and I break Mom’s birthday gift before she even sees it?
Oh, I forgot, I’m here to say a verse I learned in Sunday School. James 2:17 “Even so faith, if it hath not works is dead, being alone.”

Oh, I gave Mom her birthday kiss when she got home and found me sleeping in her new rocking chair.
